Pete was also my brother (he had 4 sisters - poor sod!). I can't even begin to explain how not having him here will affect my life as it's impossible to put into words, so I'll share some of my memories with you. On Pete's wedding day I didn't want him to leave the family home so I barricaded him in his bedroom using the spare bed frames and mattresses stored on our landing in our home. Now don't get me wrong, I love our Lynne (Pete's wife) to bits and always have done - but I just didn't want our Pete to go. I must have relented cos I wore the bridesmaid dress on the day alongwith my white platform shoes...... When Liverpool F.C. won the FA Cup in 2006 our Pete was texting and phoning me all day on the journey down to Cardiff, in the stadium, after the match and on the way home. We were both crying and laughing at LFC winning and both in tears listening to the fans signing "You'll Never Walk Alone" - all of this over mobile phones! I was so proud of him when he managed to fall off the train onto the platform after the journey home; he broke his glasses and bruised his face. What a man! One of my other personal favourite memories of Pete is him being a great brother to me after a previous boyfriend of mine had upset me. On meeting the boyfriend Pete grabbed the boyfriend's throat and said "Don't you ever upset my sister again or you'll have me to face". From a man who said few things this spoke volumes. I still am proud of him for this. I could go on and on so watch this space....
